Rosalia
Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia, is the Spanish singer of flamenco. As a teen, Rosalia has explored the fringes of pop and traditional music. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela described her voice as sweet and sharp, however she still featuring the sharpness of older singers. El Mal Querer is her second album, made available in 2018, which was commercially and critically acclaimed. Following Los Angeles, her debut album from 2017, she was awarded a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and also the Latin Grammy nod. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami was her third album that was full-length. It featured songs written in collaboration with other performers and producers like Cory Henry. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish soloist to appear on the show on Saturday Night Live. As well as winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
