Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eighteen in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He was a part of the team together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He in the year following, he came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. Later, in 2021, he sang a duet in 2021 with TINI in her smash hit Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo comes from an musical family, as both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about participating in music as compulsory. He began playing the saxophone, guitar, ukulele, and piano as when he was a child. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian convinced him to study singing with a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he discovered his own ability to sing and also altered the direction of his life.
